Product Description

Item Name: Seinfeld – The Complete Series; Studio: National Broadcasting Company (NBC)

Product Description

No show captured the eccentricities of New York like the Larry David-created sitcom Seinfeld. Helping to define America’s view of New Yorkers, the series gained endless fans over its nine season run. Though it wasn’t the first show to assert the rudeness of Gotham’s citizens, its characters are selfish to a fault–not that there’s anything wrong with that. Self-obsessed comedian Jerry Seinfeld is joined in the cast by his neurotic ex-girlfriend, Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus); his chronically lazy pal, George (Jason Alexander); and Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards), who takes the sitcom cliche of the weird neighbor to impressive new heights. Despite their faults (or perhaps because of them), they’re some of the most hilariously watchable characters in television history. The entire series is presented here.

Best Collection Ever!, December 9, 2011
This review is from: Seinfeld – The Complete Series (DVD)
I was devastated when this show actually went off the air and try my hardest to catch every rerun episode on various television channels. I was really excited to get this collection as a lightning deal this holiday season on Amazon. I know a lot of the reviews seem to complain about the boxing for the DVD’s, but I honestly don’t care about the boxing or packaging. I plan to watch, watch, watch these DVD’s regularly so they’ll likely not see their housing very often :-) Anyway, I wrapped this item up for myself and marked it from Santa so I can’t wait to open it up Christmas morning! I know I’m going to love this set as I love everything Seinfeld! Highly recommended item!

5.0 out of 5 stars Everything Seinfeld has to offer about nothing… watch the price, December 6, 2011

Desription: 32 disc all 180 episodes, 1 hour round table with Larry David, coffee table book with quotes and trivia.

Price: I purchased in late 2010 for $100 new

If you like Seinfeld get it, I am not going to be able to convince you in a few hundred words whether a show about nothing is good for you or not. Millions of people loved it for years, and if you are not sure watch a few syndicated reruns on TV before you buy.

    Con:
32 discs and a book require alot of packaging, which makes this heavy and not fit in standard DVD Case shelving. However the 2 volumes breakout into 2 sixteen disc each cases with extra width but similar in height to a standard CD jewel case.

    Pros:
    Packaging is nice
You receive every episode of Seinfeld.
EPISODE GUIDE: with this many episodes it is incredibly important to have them organized in a way you are not digging though 32 discs.
High quality video / sound and obviously commercial free.

After writing a negative review about my purchase experience, I’d like to compensate by saying returning the item was a breeze. I was worked with quickly and efficiently and was fully refunded, no problems. The issue was very easily fixed and if it was not for my satisfaction not being met, this business is a breeze to work with.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not Widescreen or HD, November 30, 2011
This review is from: Seinfeld – The Complete Series (DVD)
Love the series and this set comes with a great book of pictures and additional information. Each episode has something that adds to simple enjoyment of watching Seinfeld including subtitles with information about the scene or what is being discussed in the scene, running commentary by Jerry or Larry, or the usual deleted scenes and outakes. I would have given this 5 stars but for the simple standard format without ability to go to full screen and non-HD format.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best set available for one of the greatest shows ever, November 29, 2011
This review is from: Seinfeld – The Complete Series (DVD)
This set is the one to get, rather than getting individual season boxes. Why? Because it will save you a ton of shelf space. The box is very sturdy, and everything is packed very well. As an additional bonus, it comes with a very high quality coffee table book about the series.

Content-wise, the discs here are identical to what you find in the season boxes. Packed full of bonus content, including behind the scenes stuff and commentary. Lots of great material here.
    Highly recommended!

3.0 out of 5 stars Packaging spits in the face of collectors, November 15, 2011
This review is from: Seinfeld – The Complete Series (DVD)
I’m seriously disappointed in how little effort went into the storage.

The box that stored everything didn’t even survive the shipping process. I’d send it back for a refund, but I can tell shoddy quality when I see it. It’s just a cheap cardboard case. A replacement would 50/50 arrive in the same condition.

    For the individual items –
    1. The Coffee Table Book is a nice encyclopedia of average construction, but I’m a little disappointed it doesn’t turn into a coffee table.
    2. The disc holders are a joke. It’s just a bunch of CD cases LITERALLY TAPED TOGETHER. Shortly after opening them to inspect the tape came lose on one set of disks and I can already tell it’s not going to work as a long term storage solution.

If you don’t mind going out and buying a binder just for your Seinfeld disks then this is a great buy. If you’re a collector looking for something you can show off on your mantle stay away.

5.0 out of 5 stars A classic I will never get tired of, October 22, 2011

I LOVE Seinfeld. I’ve watched this boxed set several times over. I still laugh at all the funny parts. The extras are great! Really ALOT of extras! A gem I will keep for a very long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars The definitive Seinfeld Colllection!!, September 27, 2011
This review is from:Seinfeld – The Complete Series (DVD)
I’m such a Sienfeld fan that after buying the whole series individually by season, I sold them all so that I could have The Complete Series boxset and all of the extras. The Coffee table book itself is worth it alone to me. Another plus about having this boxset is that all the DVDs are packaged in 2 booklet cases so now I won’t have to fumble through the individual seasons.

I was lucky enough to buy this during a Lightning Deal and pick it up at a great price. All the other reviews explain why this boxset is so great, I’m just happy to finally own it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Seinfeld the series: whats on the inside counts, September 12, 2011
This review is from: Seinfeld – The Complete Series (DVD)
Seinfeld is hands down the best television series created for all time. The box set I bought was exactly what I was looking for. Purchasing this instead of attempting to track down all of the season box sets individually is well worth the extra money. The “coffee table book” it comes with is also a very nice addition to the package, it gives insight to the show that you could never obtain without it. In the future, sellers of this series box set should be aware of the potential for damage during shipment. The sleek black case that the series comes in is made of reinforced card board, making the corners very easy to crunch. My package came in a cardboard box and was not handled very well in transit. Any damage the cardboard box incurred transfered to the black case. It should be shipped in a reinforced box, maybe with packaging kernals.
