We got this for charging our tent trailer and boat battery. The charger and controller worked well for 15 watts, however 15 watts is not much power. During the winter we are using it to charge our cell phones. We have a deep cycle battery that charges during the day then charges our phones at night. By 2:00pm the sun has typically fully charged our battery. This won’t give you much juice but it will help maintain your battery and let you run small electronic equipment. You must have a basic understanding of electronics and soldering to hook this system up as it comes with bare wires needed some work.

I use this to charge a battery on my boat lift winch. I purchased a ATV winch (3000 lb.) and adapted it to the lift. It uses a 12v battery. The winch draws a lot of current, but it is no problem. After using the winch two or three times, the solar kit charges the battery in a few hours. Very happy with the unit. My only problem is that I like to buy products made in America, even if I have to pay more, and this product is made in China. I had no choice!

I was initially impressed with this product’s quality and value.
After installing the panel and charge controller on my RV some part of the system failed. I contacted Sunforce directly. They replied to emails quickly, but they wanted extensive testing of each part of the system before they would issue a return authorization and the test the products again for replacement. I was forced to purchase a voltmeter and all of this took a couple weeks.
I decided to try Amazon for some help. After my second ‘live chat’ session I was able to get an RA# and return shipping label. Little did I know that I would later pay for the shipping!
After all of this I got about 2/3rds of my money back.
I have no idea what went wrong with the system and I don’t care. It simply stopped working and the panel was putting out 0 VDC.
Buyer beware w/ Sunforce. They seem to make OK (at best) products, but they could stand behind them better.

This product delivers enough power to trickle charge a car battery or close to a normal charging rate for ATV/Motorcycle battery. Comes complete and ready for use out of the box with all charging connectors. Very dependable product. Charge controller prevents overcharging of battery.
