The Battery Tender Junior 12-volt/75-amp battery charger is the small and simple solution to the challenge of keeping vehicle batteries optimally powered when not in use. It is able to charge any lead-acid battery, including standard and sealed AGM and GEL Cell battery types and is also designed to be easy to use in small spaces, to utilize a 4-step charging program and safely function in a fully automatic mode. Safe, 4-step Battery Charging
The Battery Tender Junior 12-volt charger is much more than a trickle charger. It has a “brain”. Utilizing a 4-step charging program (initialization, bulk charge, absorption mode and float mode), it allows you to simply connect the charger to a battery, either in or out of a vehicle, and forget about it until you are ready to put the battery to work. Like all Battery Tender chargers, at the end of the regular charger cycle it automatically switches its output voltage to a safe, storage or float level that eliminates the need to worry about the damaging effects of overcharging, and the resulting need to check on the condition of the battery. If/when the battery voltage drops too far under load, output power resumes and the charging cycle begins again. The unit also features sparkproof connectors, short circuit and reverse polarity protection, an easy to understand charging status indicator consisting of a single LED, and almost no current draw from batteries connected to it.

I use this to keep my backup generator charged and ready. I can keep this connected all the time and do not have to worry about overcharging. I run my generator every 10 days and it is always ready to go. I just turned 65 and while I can pull start my generator, it has a 13 HP engine, electric is nice. The Battery Tender Junior was delivered as promised. I installed the pigtail attachment to my 2000 Wide Glide and the plug tucks away nicely behind the battery. I use the alligator attachment on my other motorcycle and lawn tractor. I have used both attachments twice and they work as advertised. The junior does take longer to initially charge a weak battery but if you have the time, it is the best deal for the price. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews

This is the 2nd Battery Tender Junior that I have owned. I wore the first one out after 10 years of over winter use on my motorcycle. I plug it in for a week and leave it off for a week. Never take the battery out of my bike anymore. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews

I have not been riding my motorcycle often enough, so my battery seems to be dead every time I go out to try and start it. It’s very frustrating. I had heard the Battery Tender was a good option. It was so easy to use and has worked as advertised up to now. No complaints. I especially like the permanent connectors you can add to your terminals. It allowed me to run the wire out to an accessible spot on my frame. From here on out I don’t even have to remove my tank or battery cover to charge
