Product Description
Briggs & Stratton manufactures small engines and outdoor power equipment. For 100 years, we’ve been building the engines that power the equipment people use to get the job done. That’s the reason consumers look for the Briggs & Stratton brand when they shop for power equipment. Hurricanes. Ice storms. Wind storms. You’ve seen the after-effects, entire communities without power. A generator will ensure your family has the power needed when faced with unexpected outages. Two types of generators are available: portable generators and permanently installed home generator systems. Briggs & Stratton Elite Series products have heavy-duty components and features with a longer warranty to back them up. They perform tirelessly around the home, farm or on the job.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent value, August 20, 2011
This review is from: Briggs & Stratton 030473 2,000 Watt Gas Powered Portable Inverter Generator (Lawn & Patio)
i had problems with the “low oil” alert light on one and burnt it up !, but you know, amazon quickly sent me a new one, (overnight-no charge), at no cost to me. i’ve been changing the oil about every 50-70 hours, and i couldn’t be more pleased with this generator, for the cost, it is an excellent value ! its strong, not too loud, and i especially like the 25 amp outlet, and ofcourse, the throttle energy saving mode is a major run extender- i get about 8-10 hr.s out of a little less than a gallon of gas. all in all, i recomender this one very highly.

The unit came on time as promised. The packaging was completely intact and unit was perfect. Although several attempts at starting proved fruitless, a short trip to the dealer and about 10 minutes of investigation revealed the float stuck shut in the carburetor not allowing fuel to pass. All is well now and the generator performs as expected. Plenty quite on the power saver mode.

I use this to run a shopvac and it works fine. It’s not too heavy and easy to cart around on a luggage cart.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than expected, August 5, 2011
This review is from: ETQ TG1200 1,200 Watt 2 HP 2-Cycle Gas Powered Portable Generator (Lawn & Patio)
Delivered on time. We are using this for our 39″ toyhauler to keep trailer batteries charged. It works outstanding! approximately 2 gallons (full tank) ran for 7 hours. Our big generator was using more than twice the gas. You can use a good 100 ft cord and get the generator away from your trailer, so you don’t even notice it running. It is very quite for a two stroke generator. It started second pull after initial setup (just add mixed fuel), and ran flawlessly 20 hours a day for 12 days. All the others in camp with thier $2000 Honda’s said they would go with this generator if they could do it over. I may have just got lucky with this unit, but this generator is by far the best generator for the money we have ever owned and we have owned 6 over the years.

This review is from: ETQ TG1200 1,200 Watt 2 HP 2-Cycle Gas Powered Portable Generator (Lawn & Patio)
I purchased this small generator to run a few things on an emergency basis. So far I have run refrigerator/freezer, computer, a few cfl lights and the big one an 8000 btu window a/c unit. 750 watts continuous. Now to be honest,I don’t run both compressors at the same time, and I use a large ups to handle the initial surge of the A/C compressor but it runs fine after the surge. If I wanted to have a generator that could handle the surge I would need around 3000 watts of generator. Remember after the surge, a larger generator is just wasting fuel.
