I have often been asked "where do I get all the recycled material for my cheap heaters?"
The answer is twofold:
- I have a lot of left over wood, paint and caulking from other projects that I save and use when they fit
- Craigslist is a great source for relieving the burden for unwanted items from others. Usually people have old storm windows or other scraps you can pick up free or very cheap
I used this concept for my bucket garden and it works very well.
