Product Description
Lighthouse Hydro LED grow lights are designed and manufactured to exact quality standards. Only the highest quality components are used, from individual LED diodes and circuit boards, to power supplies, fans and metal housings. Lighthouse Grow Light are all fitted with LEDs rated for 50,000 hours, equal to 5 to 10 years of active use in your grow room. During the lifetime of your light, no visible reduction in light output will be seen.
LED lights run virtually silent; no humming or buzzing like traditional HID lighting and ballast equipment. At Lighthouse Hydro we stand behind our quality manufacturing with an American warranty on all products. Any equipment problems are repaired in, or replaced from, a US facility. In response to the increased demand for a higher power LED light, Lighthouse Hydro has recently developed the BlackStar Label of LED grow lights.
Our elite line uses only the highest quality components. The BlackStar line was engineered from the ground up based on feedback from our customers on the most needed light output values for your growing footprint. Using custom encapsulated chipsets, we are proud to offer 2w and 3w LEDs in the BlackStar product.

3.0 out of 5 stars new tech, great vendor, September 4, 2011
This review is from: 240W Lighthouse Hydro BlackStar Grow Light 6 Band 3W Chips Flowering 240 Watts
This is the second 240 watt LED lamp I have purchased. It is probably too bright for my little growing tent and damaged my plants. If you’re growing in a bigger space that could be great news. If you’ve read that these are not bright enough and don’t spread far enough to provide cost effective coverage this could also be good news. LEDs are quiet, cool, compact, easy to hang and produce amazing results. When word gets out this will shake up the indoor lighting market. The vendor has taken a lot of time helping me to analyze my system and has been dedicated to helping me produce a successful garden. He is replacing this lamp for something that is stepped down a little bit and I can’t wait to start my flowering cycle.
5.0 out of 5 stars This light is a great value, July 14, 2011
This review is from: 240W Lighthouse Hydro BlackStar Grow Light 6 Band 3W Chips Flowering 240 Watts
This is my second LED light and it is simply in a different class than my first set up. This light is very well constructed by someone who cares about quality. It was packed for shipping in a nice, snug custom configuration that provided excellent protection. Plug it in and the brightness will amaze you. I would not hesitate to buy this unit again.

5.0 out of 5 stars A little warm in an enclosed space, but perfect otherwise, June 4, 2011
This review is from: 240W Lighthouse Hydro BlackStar Grow Light 6 Band 3W Chips Flowering 240 Watts
Compared to my 90w UFOs, this is a beast. The heat output is a bit higher compared to the UFOs, but the growth potential is amazing. I thought my lettuce was freakishly large for only being 2 or 3 weeks old, but that’s the light – a real powerhouse when it comes to growing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Money Maker, May 27, 2011
This review is from: 240W Lighthouse Hydro BlackStar Grow Light 6 Band 3W Chips Flowering 240 Watts
I currently have a 4sq ft grow tent with 2 90w ufo’s and 1 blackstar 180w led flower panel. My plants were happy and doing well but nothing extraordinary. I added this light to the mix and now all my plants are exploding with tons of flowers. At 290 watts of actual led output my plants were happy now at 475 watts of led output I have hit the sweet spot and they’re producing greater results then MH, sodium or t-5′s have ever done for me. I’ve been experimenting with led lights for a while and from what I’ve learned so far is, you must use at least 1 watt per light. Using multiple 90 watt to 240 watt led lights is better than using 1 huge 600 watt led. You get a larger sweet spot. 90 watt led’s are good for 2sq feet only. the 240 watt lights are good for 3′ by 2′, no more. 2′ x 2′ is better. And most importantly the height of your LED’s play the biggest role. I keep the LED’s 2 feet above the plants if I want them to stretch a bit and 12 to 16 inches if I want them to get bushier. I have noticed some stressing keeping the leds a few inches from the canopy plus at that height your only getting about 10sq inches of coverage. Led’s are not cheap but they are far cheaper on the electric bill and I have NO heat issues. The temperature in my tent 2 inches below the lights are 78*. 76* at canopy level and 75* outside my tent. I have 2 clip on fans for ventilation only. For me Led grow lights are here to stay. I just wish they were priced better.
